Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Prolonged exposure to a temporal gap between multisensory stimuli induces the recalibration of subjective synchrony. Whereas attention toward the temporal structure of stimuli has been confirmed to modulate the recalibration pattern in the audiovisual domain, the role of attention in the sensorimotor domain remains unclear. We examined how attention to temporal and non-temporal information modulates the pattern of shift in subjective synchrony in vocalization via synchrony and feature-discrimination tasks during exposure to vocal-auditory lag. We found that lag exposure with synchrony-oriented attention shifted the subjective synchrony in the opposite direction to the shift in temporal recalibration, and would induce selective adaptation of subjective synchrony.
