Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a method for collecting spots visited by participants of events such as academic conferences and exhibitions. The spots are identified by investigating signals received from Bluetooth beacons. Due to wireless interference with the beacons and reflection from walls, the signal strength wildly fluctuates. Therefore, some parameters are controlled according to each radio environment. An N-gram language model is introduced to evaluate the spots obtained with different parameter settings and to determine the optimal setting. An experiment at a poster presentation meeting confirmed: 1) the optimal parameters were set according to the environment and the visited posters were effectively detected; and 2) our method figured out the relations among the posters reflecting the situation of the meeting.
