Abstract(in English) | Objectives: In this study, we examined new computer-aided diagnosis method with support vector machine (SVM) for classification of MDD and BD. Methods: Twenty-two patients with MDD and 11 patients with BD participated in verbal fluency task (VFT). The 52-channel NIRS machine (ETG-4000) measures relative changes of [oxy-Hb] at frontal and temporal robes while VFT. Concordance rates between clinical diagnosis and automatic diagnosis by SVM were calculated. Results: Seven diagnostic models indicated over 90% of concordance rates. Conclusions: New automatic diagnosis algorithms were obtained by SVM. The application of SVM to massive NIRS data contributed to product optimized diagnostic tools. |
