Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This work studies the problem of channel direction information (CDI) probing for cognitive radio systems with multiple antennas. The CDI from the secondary transmitter (ST) to primary receiver (PR) needs to be acquired by the ST for beamforming in the interference mitigation. Due to the lack of explicit cooperation between primary and secondary systems, the CDI has to be acquired by means of probing, which is generally challenging. In this work, we consider the case for the line of sight (LoS) channels, and propose one simple CDI probing scheme by exploiting the hidden primary transmitter (PT) feedback. Specifically, the ST sends two probing signals with directional beamforming towards the PR, and then actively learns the hidden feedback from the PT to acquire the targeted CDI. The proposed scheme is of low complexity and irrespective of channel gains. To show the impact of Non-LoS channels on the proposed scheme, the performance of acquired CDI accuracy is further analyzed under Rician channels. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme works very well for channels with moderate Rician K factor.
