Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In heterogeneous wireless networks with spectrum sharing, radio wave collisions often occur randomly by not only intra-system but also inter-system interference. It is important to recognize the statistical characteristics of the radio resource used by individual stations for resource control to reduce the collisions stochastically. However, it is typically difficult to recognize them from the complicatedly overlapped radio waves. In this paper, we propose a radio environment statistical recognition technique that estimates channel occupancy ratios and occurrence frequencies of radio waves from individual stations by using a state transition model. We evaluate the estimation performance of the statistical characteristics of radio waves transmitted randomly by unknown system’s stations in the heterogeneous wireless networks to validate the proposed technique by computer simulation.
