3-element Super-directive Array antenna by Using Decoupling Network

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a design method of 3-element super-directive array antenna using a decoupling network. Super-directive array antenna is a closely spaced array antenna fed by properly condition and its maximum directivity reaches N2 for end fire direction by using N radiators. To reduce mutual coupling effect caused by closely spacing, we apply a simplified decoupling network for 3-element super-directive array by shorting the center element to reduce decoupling port from 3 to 2. By using this method, we realize directivity of 7.74dB on simulation and 6.31dB on measurement.
