Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We research on inaudible speech recognition with surface EMG. On a natural speech, a speaker changes his mouth shape continuously. So, time segments may not have stable features, even if the segments are selected from one phoneme. It means that we need a reference point to extract features for recognition. In this paper, we treat a phoneme boundary as the reference point, and propose a method to find the boundary based on the center-of-balance transition of wavelet coefficients. Furthermore, we report the result of continuous pair of phonemes recognition based on HMM using features of muscular activity around the boundary. |
