Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In lectures with writing on the blackboard, the timing of the behaviors (noting and listening) by students plays important roles on the evaluation of the understanding and the interest for given contents. In this report, we treat the case that students take notes with apaper and a pen. Moreover, we propose methods for recording and playing the process oftaking notes from movies for the purpose of analysis of behaviors by students in lectures. Concretely, we propose methods for the detection of the pen position and the discrimination of behaviors by students from movies recorded by digital cameras. Furthermore, we discuss the relationship between behaviors by lecturer and students.
