Abstract(in English) We report broadband external cavity quantum cascade lasers based on the anti-crossed dual-upper-state (DAU) active region design. In the DAU devices designed for various wavelengths, extremely wide electroluminescence spectra ($Delta$$lambda$/$lambda$$_0$~0.4, >500 cm-1 FWHM) are obtained at room temperature. Despite such broad electroluminescence spectra, the DAU lasers demonstrate good laser performances as well as room temperature continuous wave operation. By introducing an external cavity system, wide wavelength tuning ranges, $Delta$$lambda$/$lambda$$_0$>20%, with single mode are demonstrated under cw operation at room temperature.
