Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We experimentally evaluated the effect of display resolution and screen type on physiological and psychological state during contents viewing using a high-resolution A3-size 4K tablet and 65-inch 4KTV. The results showed that the scores for “presence,” “impact,” “realism,” “quality” and “precise” when viewing 4KTV scenic content were significantly higher than those for 2K content. On the other hand, the results showed that the scores for “precise,” “feeling of invigoration” and “enjoyable” when viewing 4K tablet scenic content were significantly higher than those for 2K content. Moreover, NIRS, an index of nervous system activity, during viewing tests of 4K scenic content, in the both cases of 4KTV and 4K tablet, was significantly higher for 4K content than for 2K content. Moreover, heart rate, representing sympathetic nervous system activities, when viewing 4K natural scenic content was significantly lower than those for 2K content, in the both cases of 4KTV and 4K tablet.
