Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a previous study, three clustered states (firing with frequencies $A$ and $B$: $A/B$ is irrational, and subthreshold oscillations) in inhibitory neuronal networks with small-world structure exist. All neurons are identical, however the firing frequencies becomes different. Neurons with higher firing frequencies inhibit those with lower firing frequencies. In this study, we investigate the basic mechanism of this suppression using a system of two coupled neurons. Under certain conditions, we found that when the ration of the firing frequencies becomes more than approximately $1.2$, the suppression occurs.
