Abstract(in English) File-based video system has become widespread in the television broadcasting field. The authors are developing a bidirectional digital FPU (Field Pick-up Unit) system suitable for high-speed video file transmission. In this report, we evaluated the HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest) scheme aiming for high-reliability of file transmission. From the result of measurements using the prototype of bidirectional FPU equipment applying HARQ scheme, it was confirmed the TCP throughput improvement in comparison with the TCP throughput of the other prototype not applying HARQ scheme.
