Abstract(in English) Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSCs) has attracted much attention because it has a cost advantage compared to the conventional Si solar cells. To obtain high power conversion efficiency in the dye-sensitized solar cell, it is necessary to prevent electron recombination between the electrolyte and TiO2 photo-electrode. It is assumed that the recombination can be prevented by constructing an energetic barrier layers of SiO2 and TiO2 between TiO2 / electrolyte with SiO2 and TiO2 coatings on TiO2 photo-electrode made by atomic layer deposition (ALD).
