A Consideration on Characteristic Measurement Methods of Thin-Film Air-Core Micro-Transformers for Digital Isolators

Abstract(in English) In this work, thin-film air-core micro-transformers are developed for application to digital isolators in novel power semiconductor devices. Since micro-transformers are mounted in ceramic packages, their measured characteristics include those of the ceramic packages. In this paper, parasitic L, C and R of the ceramic packages are extracted. Furthermore, the frequency characteristics of the micro-transformers are extracted by correcting the measured values using their parasitic L, C and R.
