Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There is a procedure called ”?nal tone prediction” that selects a pitch that is thought to ”most coherently terminate” a melody that has been heard. Some studies have attempted to predict the ?nal tone response obtained from this procedure by using tonal rules. However, these rules for predicting were based on the responses of a single pro?cient piano player. In this study, we investigated whether it is possible to predict the ?nal tone responses of multiple persons using the same method, and proposed a new method for predicting ?nal tone responses. The results of the experiment revealed that for some of the subjects, the termination tone prediction rules could be divided into groups.
