Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the context of neurotransmitter receptors within the central nervous system, the efficient selection in advance of key candidates related to auditory cortical synaptic plasticity could enable us to perform physiological experiments more efficiently. Several simple models have already been proposed to describe the response dynamics after the induction of neural plasticity. Here, we initially measured cortical responses to electrical stimulation after inducing plasticity under several pharmacological conditions, manipulating both control and receptor-modulated groups. Subsequently, between the groups, we estimated and compared the coefficients of the dynamic model describing the electric-pulse-driven responses after the synaptic plasticity induction. Then, we discuss the main receptors involved in the neural plasticity of the auditory cortex, as elucidated by a simple model. Finally, drawing from the outcomes of this study, we discuss prospective challenges for future applied research.
