Analysis of periodic orbits in digital return maps based on feature quantities

Abstract(in English) A digital map (Dmap) is digital dynamical system defined on a set of points. Depending on parameters, A digital map can generate various periodic orbits. A digital map is suitable for precise numerical analysis and FPGA based hardware implementation. This paper studies basic dynamics of A digital map. In order to analyze the dynamics, we define three feature quantities. The first quantity evaluates complexity of theperiodic orbits. The second quantity evaluates stability of the periodic orbits. The third quantity evaluates irregularity of the periodic orbits. Using the quantities, we investigate various periodic orbits in typical systems.
