Abstract(in English) | This study addresses the intrinsic narrowband characteristics of reflectarray antennas (RAs) through innovative design approaches, focusing on two distinct types of wideband radiator elements: the wideband resonator type and the non-resonant type. For the wideband resonator type, a low-cost 1-bit RA design is proposed, utilizing magneto-electric (ME) dipole elements. The ME dipole design exhibits broad radiating performance, contributing to the overall wideband characteristics of the RA. In contrast, the non-resonant type features the introduction of nonradiative dielectric (NRD) waveguide elements as radiators. Leveraging the inherent non-resonant property of the waveguide, this design achieves wideband performance while simplifying the unit cell structure. Both wideband resonator and non-resonant type designs incorporate beam scanning ability. The wideband performance is validated through comprehensive simulation and measurement. |
