Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important to match actual motion and embodied cognition in order to improve skill. However, the degree to which the two match has not been empirically verified. Then, in this paper, relationships between skill and embodied cognition are examined by focusing on reaction time and kinesthetic impression in a perceptual reaction test. As a specific method, 17 subjects were instructed to take the perceptual reaction test in which red and blue circles were randomly displayed. The control task (CT) was defined as a subject’s saying "yes (hai)" regardless of whether a red or blue circle was displayed , whereas the target task (TT) was defined as a subject’ saying "red (aka)" when a red circle was displayed and "blue (ao)" when a blue circle was displayed. Statistical differences in mean reaction times for both tasks and post-experimental language reports were focused on and verified. As the results of discussion, 3 subjects showed matched response and kinesthetic impressions while 14 subjects did mismatch, indicating that mismatch was significantly more frequent. Further, it was suggested that verbalization about the degree of difficulty and awareness of the speech for skill may influence the kinesthesia impression of skill.
