| Abstract(in English) | In this study, we examined the influence of happiness of painters' life history on evaluating their paintings. Information on either a happy or unhappy life history of painters was generated by ChatGPT and presented simultaneously with the paintings, and participants were asked to evaluate the paintings using eight indices (pleasantness, beauty, liking, goodness, enjoyment, interest, vividness, brightness). The results showed significantly higher evaluations in all indices when a happy life history was presented compared to an unhappy life history. Particularly, indices of "pleasantness," "enjoyment," and "brightness" were more susceptible to the influence of happiness. Furthermore, we observed that individuals with higher levels of artistic experience characteristics, extraversion, and openness were more susceptible to the influence of happiness. |
