Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In ultrasound diagnosis, a bubble encapsulated by a shell composed of lipids, proteins, and polymers is utilized as a contrast agent to improve the image resolution. Physico-mathematical modeling of multiple (not single) bubbles is required. Appropriate choice of constitutive laws representing the functional form of stress-strain relationships for the shell is also important since some types of shell are used. This study theoretically investigated the effect of the differences among constitutive laws on ultrasound propagation in a liquid containing multiple bubbles encapsulated by the shell as a visco-elastic body. Nonlinear wave equations for three different constitutive laws were derived, and we summarized differences among them into only coefficients of the derived equations. As a result, differences among the constitutive laws affected the nonlinear coefficient of ultrasound. In particular, the constitutive law as a strain softening had the largest nonlinearity.
