Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Currently, in Japan, there is an increasing number of elderly individuals with dementia. Dementia poses challenges in fundamental treatment, with interventions primarily focused on slowing its progression, highlighting the importance of early detection. However, due to the gradual and inconspicuous nature of dementia progression, self-awareness is notably difficult. Additionally, many elderly individuals find undergoing examinations at hospitals burdensome. Our research group has been exploring the use of technology to support the elderly, and in previous studies, we developed a service using a conversational agent on the LINE app to engage in daily text-based dialogues, analyzing the user's emotional state. Building on this agent, we contemplated whether it could aid in the early detection of dementia through routine conversations. In this study, we propose and implement the "Memory Keeper Quiz Service," utilizing the LINE app conversational agent to administer quizzes about the user during daily interactions. The goal is to assist users in recognizing signs of cognitive memory decline.
