Abstract(in English) | We fabricate a bandwidth-expanded testing-station using a coreless building-up organic substrate with a fine design rule to evaluate optical link characteristics of an ultra-compact 400-Gb/s VCSEL-based transceiver for Co-Packaged Optics. A 3-dB bandwidth of the differential transmission lines are measured as wide as ?19.8 GHz. We also build a loop-back optical link using a 400-Gb/s VCSEL transceiver attached on the testing station to evaluate characteristics of the optical link. When operating the optical link with 8-channel 56-Gb/s PAM4 signals simultaneously, we observe good eye-openings and BER characteristics. |
