Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Non-terrestrial networks have been rising in popularity due to increasing demand for communication performance. Among these, optical inter-satellite communications have emerged as a promising solution to enhance communication capabilities. However, a significant challenge lies in the complexity of optical pointing technology. Current research often assumes limitations in connecting satellites in crossing orbits with high relative velocities, relying instead on links in the same orbit that can be more easily established. This study addresses the gap in existing research by quantitatively comparing co-synchronous, adjacent, and crossing orbital connections. Specifically, it explores the impact of relative velocity differences on communication performance when connecting to satellites in the same orbit and neighboring orbits, focusing on co-trajectory and adjacent trajectory connections. The goal is to investigate the potential for improving communication stability by transitioning from multi-hop information transmission via adjacent trajectory connections to co-trajectory and cross-trajectory connections.
