[Short Paper] BPSK Symbol-Level Precoding with CSI Sign-only Prediction for Satellite Communication System

Abstract(in English) LEO satellites offer potential global coverage for 5G networks, but their fast movement and propagation delay render acquired Channel State Information (CSI) outdated. However, repetitive behavioral patterns correlated with the communication channel between LEO satellites and ground stations enable CSI prediction. This study explores the combined use of Symbol Level Precoding (SLP) and BPSK modulation, revealing that only the sign information (positive/negative) of the real and imaginary parts of CSI is necessary for the system to operate. Simulation results demonstrate comparable Bit Error Rate (BER) performance between full CSI and sign-only CSI, with the latter being easier to obtain.
