Abstract(in English) | Massive MIMO using multiple antenna elements is being considered to increase the speed and capacity of wireless communications such as 5G/6G and HAPS. To reduce the cost of large-scale arrays, we have proposed devices that use a staircase array antenna made of multiple substrates, Butler matrices, variable phase shifters, and an amplifier. In this report, we report on the beam steering evaluation of a 64-element staircase array antenna where a parasitic element is placed above a single patch antenna, and the beam is tilted by adjusting its position asymmetrically. |
