Abstract(in English) | Holography, one of the three-dimensional display technologies, enables natural three dimensional viewing that fully satisfies the physiological functions of the human eye. By using Computer-generated holograms calculated by computer holography and by using electro-holography, it have been attracting attention for the practical application of three-dimensional TV in the future; however, it is desirable to establish compression and transmission methods for computer-generated holograms to realize transmitting it via networks. In this study, we developed a transmission system for computer-generated holograms that can transmit hologram data to remote locations via a network and reconstruct three-dimensional images by compression and transmission that take advantage of the characteristics of holograms. We report on the results of the transmission for computer-generated holograms under the downlink in the local 5G network owned by Suwa University of Science. |
