| Abstract(in English) | Today, with the development of subscription services such as YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music, it has become easier to enjoy music. As a result, the hurdles for music creation have been significantly lowered, and it is no longer so unusual to use a PC or smartphone to create a song and post it on the Internet. On the other hand, the number of cases of copyright infringement by unauthorized reproduction or secondary use of music has been increasing recently, and institutional and technological responses to such negative phenomena are required. This paper summarizes the basic copyright protection situation in Japan and abroad, cites actual cases of copyright infringement involving music, and points out potential institutional deficiencies. |
