[Poster Presentation] Effect of polymerization conditions on bistability behavior of polymer-stabilized cholesteric liquid crystal devices

Abstract(in English) In this study, we clarify the optimal fabrication condition for polymer-stabilized cholesteric liquid crystal light-controlling device, which is capable of bistable switching under applied DC voltages, to further reduce the power consumption of it. We investigate how the switching characteristics of the device is affected by alignment layer, monomer concentration, and curing conditions. In particular, it is found that the curing temperature for UV photopolymerization has a strong influence on the switching voltage.
