Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper studies the effect of Frame Preemption (FP) defined in IEEE 802.1TSN, a standard for transmitting time-sensitive data on Ethernet when used in conjunction with CBS and TAS, which are QoS controls. FP is a method of preferentially transmitting highly urgent traffic. Still, since it operates independently of other priority controls, it may not be easy to estimate the effect of FP when combining it with other priority controls. Therefore, when designing an in-vehicle network, it is necessary to evaluate the effect of FP on other priority control methods, but the effect needs to be apparent. This paper uses an in-vehicle network QoS estimation based on multiple regression analysis to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of FP in an Ethernet-based in-vehicle network that combines CBS, TAS, and FP.
