| Abstract(in English) | Polarimetric measurements of pavements using a Full-Polarimetric ground penetrating radar (GPR) were carried out to investigate the application of radar polarimetry to pavement diagnosis. The results showed that the parallel polarimetric scattering component is dominant in the reflected wave where there is a possibility of voids, while the cross-polarimetric scattering component is dominant at the point where pavement cracks have occurred, indicating that radar polarimetry can be used to identify pavement damage types. |
