Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This research is intended to solve the problem of fixed-wing UAVs flying at high speeds, which increases the space used for landing. This study proposes a "deceleration descent technique," in which the UAV descends by decelerating the speed while turning many times, in contrast to a conventional glide slope path, which is a straight line and along which the UAV descends at a constant flight speed. In this paper, the "decelerated descent technique" is proposed in the glide slope phase before flare flight, and simulation results assuming the airplane used for flight demonstrations are conducted to show the effectiveness of this technique and its superiority over conventional techniques.
