A Weighting Framework for Graph Utilization of Relational Databases

Abstract(in English) In recent years, there has been increasing interest in analyzing data by converting relational databases (RDB) into graphs and performing analysis using PageRank centrality (PR).By converting an RDB into a graph, it becomes possible to perform analysis while maintaining security and create new value that could not be found in the past.However, in related research, the dependence on the degree of PR and the number of records held by a column (PR correlation) is too high or too low, and it is difficult to adjust and output the PR correlation, I couldn't do it. Therefore, in this study, we propose a framework that adjusts PR correlation by converting an RDB into a hypergraph and weighting edges or nodes in the converted hypergraph. Specifically, by weighting according to the edge size and degree, which are factors that affect PR correlation, we created a new framework that can output many types of PR correlation. The results of evaluation experiments using real-world data showed that the PR correlation monotonically decreased by increasing the weighting, and that the PR correlation could be adjusted by the proposed method.
