Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Beyond 5G, the applications users demand are expected to diversify depending on time and location. In order to always satisfy the quality requirements of such diverse applications, dynamic and fine-tuned control is necessary, such as providing different communication quality control for each application according to its requirements. However, current communication systems are incapable of such dynamic and flexible communication control. Therefore, the authors aim to establish a technology that can provide individually optimized communication according to the requirements of each user instead of providing uniform communication to all users as in the past. In order to achieve this goal, this paper proposes dynamic spatio-temporal slicing. This technology can provide independent communication control in time and space according to individual requests. The proposed method adds new information to the packet trailers generated by smartphones. QoS control (e.g., bandwidth limitation and access control) can be performed according to this information to achieve fine-grained communication control. Through performance evaluation experiments, we will show that it is possible to design and construct definable communication areas flexibly, such as secure communication areas where only certain users are allowed to communicate and priority communication areas where high-quality communication is possible.
