Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In wireless sensor networks, RPL (Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Networks) is used as the routing protocol. Recently, with the increasing importance of sensor data, the introduction of wireless modules compatible with high transmission rates has been considered to speed up and increase the capacity of the networks. However, due to the large number of nodes in wireless sensor networks, it is difficult to update or replace all existing nodes at once. To address this issue, this study investigates a migration method in RPL that allows a gradual transition to new nodes while keeping the current nodes operational by constructing paths that utilize as high a transmission rate as possible. This paper reports that the proposed method can prioritize high data rate nodes in routing more effectively than simply using the conventional PRL method.
