Abstract(in English) | This paper describes a 300 GHz band wireless unit under development. The wireless unit is designed for bi-directional communication using both transmitting and receiving antennas, and is intended for simultaneous communication of two channels. It is also intended for outdoor use. Since millimeter wave and terahertz wave have high signal loss in the signal path, we aimed to design a circuit with the shortest path. Back to back measurements were performed by connecting a variable attenuator between the wireless units to confirm that the wireless units actually work. Transmission characteristics were also evaluated. We also conducted propagation measurements in a propagation room and confirmed transmission at 17 m between the radio units. This paper introduces the configuration of the wireless unit and reports the results of the back-to-back and propagation measurements. |
