Abstract(in English) | High-altitude platform stations (HAPSs) have attracted increasing attention for their potential to extend coverage in mobile networks and provide communication infrastructure during disasters. As a technology to realize spectrum sharing between HAPS and terrestrial systems, a method has been proposed to form a single null toward each terrestrial base station (BS) using an array antenna mounted on HAPS. Furthermore, an advanced technique referred to as a null-sweeping scheme is under consideration. This scheme dynamically changes the direction of the null on each time and frequency resource toward each terrestrial BS, thereby enhancing the interference reduction effect on terrestrial cells. However, in this scheme, user scheduling performed by the terrestrial BS requires an evaluation of interference from the HAPS for each wireless resource. Therefore, the scheme necessitates the communication of a substantial number of parameters, such as precoding weights, from HAPS to each terrestrial BS. This poses a significant load on the backhaul links, including the feeder link. This paper proposes a method of reducing the number of shared parameters by modeling the interference power from HAPS to each terrestrial cell. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can significantly reduce the number of parameters without impacting the interference reduction on terrestrial cells. |
