[Invited Talk] Development of stable luminescent radical PyBTM derivatives as new OLED emitter materials

Abstract(in English) Stable luminescent radicals have a spin doublet ground state and the lowest excited state. Since the lowest quartet excited state has higher energy than the lowest doublet excited state, quenching of excitons corresponding to the triplet excited states of usual closed-shell molecules does not occur. Thus, they attract interests as new OLED emitting materials along with phosphorescent materials and TADF materials. The presenter has developed stable luminescent radicals PyBTM derivatives so far, and explains methods for improving photoluminescence quantum yield and enhancement of photostability by molecular modification.
