[Invited Lecture] Researches on Radio Wave Propagation to Realize of 5G Evolution & 6G

Abstract(in English) In order to realize a mobile communication system, it is important to understand not only the radio access system technology but also the characteristics of how radio waves propagate for optimal area design and appropriate system evaluation. This is also important for 5G Evolution and the next generation 6th generation mobile communication system (6G). In addition, the understanding of radio propagation characteristics in the target frequency band and environment is required for stable operation. In this report, we present an example of our research on radio propagation for the realization of 5G Evolution and 6G. It is necessary to address a wide range of use cases for the cyber-physical convergence in 6G. To achieve this, propagation experiments in various frequency bands including the sub-terahertz band and simulation-based modeling for faster and more accurate estimation are introduced.
