Abstract(in English) Energy storage systems are essential for the effective use of renewable energy. Storage devices are used by connecting multiple cells in series to form a module. The energy storage system uses an energy storage device, cell voltage equalizer that eliminates variations in cell voltage, and a converter for charging and discharging. In contrast to conventional systems in which converters are connected to the entire module, this paper proposes a system in which partially connected converter is partially connected to only some of the cells. Eliminating cell voltage dispersion with cell voltage equalizer, while realizing reduced circuit size and high efficiency by reduced power rating with partically connected converter. This report describes the verification of confirmed normal discharge operation while eliminating cell voltage dispersion with cell voltage equalizer.
