Abstract(in English) High-Speed and broadband network transformation is needed for 6G (sixth-generation wireless technology) era, it is necessary to utilize high-frequency bands such as millimeter / sub-terahertz wave bands. The high linearity of radio waves in the high-frequency band has a large impact due to shielding, and communication breakdowns occur due to various shielding objects, including the human body. Therefore, to realize an uninterrupted communication environment, it is necessary to realize a distributed antenna system and ensuring redundancy in communication paths. Since the increase of power consumption is concerned in the configuration in which many conventional radio base stations are arranged, the realization of small size and low power consumption by the simple extension remote radio units (RRU) configuration is required. This paper describes the A-RoF (Analog Radio over Fiber) technology which can realize the simplification of the RRU configuration, and introduces some issues in systemization of this technology, and the status of its application study to the TDD system. It was confirmed that the proposed configuration is capable of bidirectional Up/Down transmission of 4K images.
