Abstract(in English) | Various robotic walkers are being developed to alleviate the burden of ambulation for individuals who find it challenging to walk independently and require some form of support. In this study, we propose a forearm-support type robotic walker designed to enhance the stability and propulsive force during ambulation for those in need of assistance. The level of support provided by the walker to the user is not constant but rather depends on the dynamic interaction between the walker and the user's state. Hence, the walking state of a user is defined by a state transition diagram, and whether these states can be detected by the sensors installed in the robotic walker is verified through experiments. |
