Abstract(in English) This study considers visible light communication between a digital signage and an image sensor. We have focused on the demodulation part of a system that modulates data signals without interfering with the visual information displayed on the digital signage, and have studied a method for demodulating the transmitted data signal from the received image of an image sensor using a convolutional neural network(CNN)-type machine learning. In this paper, using monochromatic background images, we experimentally evaluate the performance of the proposed demodulation method that learns a data set that simulates inter-symbol interference from surrounding cells, misalignment, blurring, and noise that may occur in the received image.
