Abstract(in English) | GPS is generally used to establish navigation and safety functions when drones fly autonomously outdoors, but these functions cannot be used in non-GPS environments such as indoor flight. This study focuses on drone indoor positioning using Wi-Fi RTT (Round Trip Time), which measures the RTT from a Wi-Fi terminal to a Wi-Fi AP (Access Point). The previous studies focused on positioning methods where a drone with a Wi-Fi terminal measures distances based on RTT to multiple Wi-Fi APs around the drone. This paper focuses on a positioning method where a drone base station with the Wi-Fi AP function measures distances based on RTT to multiple Wi-Fi terminals around the drone. As an experimental method, four Wi-Fi terminals are placed around the drone, and a minimum mean square error estimation of the drone's position is performed by requesting Wi-Fi RTT ranging to the terminals and obtaining the results. Its positioning accuracy is evaluated experimentally. |
