Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses a method for estimating the ego-vehicle motion (speed and turning) using spectrum analysis with three-dimensional (3D) millimeter-wave Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) radar. In-vehicle 3D millimeter-wave MIMO radar estimates the power spectrum density of various dimensions, including angle (roll and pitch), range, and Doppler. While millimeter-wave radar is suited for all-weather target detection, its lower resolution becomes difficult for localization with map-matching. Therefore, we have proposed a method for estimating the ego-vehicle speed for estimating the traveling distance using spectrum analysis. In this paper, we propose an estimation for the ego-vehicle speed and turning motion extending this method. |
