A study on position estimation of Non-Line of sight obstacles reflected in painted surface

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we built a system to estimating the position of obstacles that are out of line of sight from the vehicle using reflected images reflected on painted surfaces. By using a stereo camera, we estimate the position of an obstacle reflected on the painted surface of a vehicle. As a result of conducting an experiment on a 1/6 scale, we could estimate the position within 0.2 m of the error for obstacles existing at distances of 1.5 m to 4 m from the camera in the longitude distance direction. On a real scale, this result corresponds to estimating the position of a non-line-of-sight obstacle that exists at a distance of about 9 to 24 m in front of the vehicle with an error of less than 1.2 m.
