Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The cooking process for the visually impaired involves various potential hazards and errors, and it is not easy for the visually impaired to perform cooking smoothly. Conventional studies of support for the visually impaired often focus on limited situations, such as cooking and shopping. However, since cooking is an act that is meaningful only when a series of processes are coordinate and complete up to the final cleanup, it is necessary to go beyond limited scene support and provide support in all areas. Therefore, in this study, we are continuing our efforts to create a database by collecting information on the problems of visually impaired people along the series of cooking processes form shopping to cleaning up, and in what situations and in what ways they are having trouble. By making the database widely available, we aim to broaden the range of researchers and developers involved in universal design and to expand the ideas of engineers in the development of support systems. Based on the results of a paper prototype experiment conducted to examine how to present information in the database, this paper proposes an interaction that accesses information according to the SIPS model.
