Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Restrictions due to the impact of the new coronavirus have been eased since 2023, and the ban on audible cheering by spectators has been lifted again in professional baseball games. However, the hearing-impaired cannot hear the audio information of the game or the cheering voices directly, which restricts their opportunities to share the excitement of the game and the spectators. The purpose of this study is to improve the sense of unity among hearing-impaired people watching baseball games online by allowing online spectators to perceive the excitement of the actual spectators at the stadium. In this paper, we consider that the excitement of the spectators at the stadium can be expressed by the sound of their cheers, and investigate a tactile information presentation method using vibrators as a method of transmitting the sound information to the hearing-impaired. We converted the audio information of the game into vibrations, and examined whether the user's sense of unity could be improved by experiencing the vibrations through an interface worn on the wrist. As a result of the experiment, it was found that the sense of unity felt by the subjects while watching the game was improved by providing them with vibrations that were linked to the sound of the game video.
