Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The use of surface plasmons in graphene is attracting attention in order to make terahertz band antennas smaller and more sensitive. In order to simulate devices that apply surface plasmons, it is necessary to treat electromagnetic field analysis based on Maxwell's equations and nonequilibrium electron transport analysis in graphene under that electromagnetic field equally, and this is important research from both theoretical and application perspectives. Although this is an issue, there is a current situation that has not been fully explored to date. The finite difference time domain method (FDTD method) is generally used for electromagnetic field analysis, and for electrical conduction in graphene, an analytical formula for intraband conduction obtained assuming a linear band near the Dirac point is used. has been carried out. In this presentation, we will describe these frameworks in detail, introduce specific examples, and discuss future issues that need to be considered.
