Abstract(in English) | The proliferation of smartphones in recent years, along with the increasing number of applications, has given rise to a high demand for traffic. Consequently, there has been a trend toward the development of heterogeneous ultra-high-density networks. These networks encompass a variety of base stations, including wide-coverage macro cell akin to traditional 4G base stations and narrow-coverage small cells similar to recently introduced 5G base stations, all coexisting within the same network. However, the expansion of base stations, particularly between different frequency base stations, has resulted in an increase in vertical handover occurrences, leading to connection disruptions, delays, and wasteful power consumption. Numerous studies have been conducted to address vertical HO, but the diverse network topology in heterogeneous high-density networks has posed significant challenges, particularly in the context of complex network modeling. Existing research has used probability geometric analysis in heterogeneous high-density networks and has focused on analyzing vertical HO with an emphasis on sojourn time. However, it's common for these analyses to assume a fixed user mobility speed of 80 km/h, despite the typical variation in user speeds. Therefore, in this study, we consider the potential variability in sojourn time based on user mobility speed, establishing speed-dependent thresholds for sojourn time to analyze the characteristics of vertical HO occurrences under these conditions. |
